The Road to Amazing Leader Guide

This series is a set of three 4-week adult discipleship studies on the basics of living as a follower of Jesus. Each of these studies was a popular sermon and worship series at FUMC Richardson, TX, where Clayton Oliphant is pastor. Working titles: 1. Citizens of Hope 2. The Road to Amazing 3. Get in the Game! Each book has four chapters; the set of three composes a 12-week study. The books are designed to invoke "holy conversation" within small groups as a way of increasing scriptural knowledge and growth as Jesus' disciples. Readers can expect to be guided on a formative path of understanding who God is and who they are as God's children (Citizens of Hope); learning to recognize God at work in their lives through the presence of Jesus Christ (The Road to Amazing); and the joyful service that results when faith is put into action (Get in the Game!). The books can also be studied individually, but are designed to support disciple-making systems of reaching and relating persons to God, equipping persons in the faith, sending persons out to serve in Jesus' name. Each of the books suggest a course of action, a movement toward "faith in action."
